Cory earned a bachelor’s degree in theatre arts from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, where he was nominated for four Irene Ryan Acting Awards in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. In New York, Cory developed plays with Lauren Yee and Ken Urban and acted alongside Tony winner Kara Young in Lindsay Joy’s In the Event of My Death. He appeared in the world premiere of Thomas Ward’s Slide By at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas and worked as a principal understudy for the Sugarland-penned musical Troubadour at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta. He’s made TV appearances on Mama Dallas, a Mike White-directed pilot for HBO, as well as NBC's Revolution series.
Cory has performed locally with the Dallas Theater Center, Theatre Three, Imprint Theatreworks, and Ochre House Theatre. He’s also co-written music and lyrics for a trio of projects with the Danielle Georgiou Dance Group.
